About the Artist
Sue Miller works from her kitchen overlooking the beautiful D'Entrecasteaux Channel in Southern Tasmania.
For the past fifteen years she has been producing popular cards and prints from small naive paintings depicting life in Tasmania. Last year the digital printer finally gave up and Sue has decided not to continue with the cards, for a while at least. Most of the images will still be available as A4 or A3 prints or as A3 posters (as this process uses another printer).
In the online Gallery section you will find a series of pictures painted last autumn in the Elysium Gardens at Garden Island Creek.
Paintings with the theme 'A day on the beach' (Kingston Beach) can also be seen in the Gallery section.
Sue has been painting all her life, she studied Art at the Hobart School of Art, obtained her Masters degree after studying and lecturing in Mexico and has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Tasmania and overseas.
Her work is continually changing and evolving - 'every painting is a new adventure with a new set of challenges.' She is looking forward to developing her photography, painting more outdoors and improving her computer skills.
